We decided last minute to pack up and head off to Yellowstone last Saturday. We woke up around 6:30 (that is an accomplishment for a Saturday, let me tell you) and headed off to Wyoming. Jeff hadn't been there since he was in high school and I hadn't since I was dropped off at school my very first semester so we were really excited to go back. Here are some pictures from that trip:

So there we were driving up this huge hill and when I say we I mean that I was driving. All of a sudden we came to a stand still and didn't know exactly why because of the curves in the road. Before we knew it we began to move and see the hold up. Bison on the road. And then before we knew it, we were the car right behind them. It took about 20 minutes of trying before we were finally able to pass them. They thought it would be a good idea to walk in the middle of my side of the road....yeah, it's fine. I was nervous the whole time because I would accidentally rev the engine a little as I started moving again (it's a manual and there was someone right smack behind me so I didn't want to roll into them) and the bison would stop and look back at us so I would SLAM on the breaks and pray they didn't turn around and do something scary. * I would say that was the highlight of the day....that and...

In other news, Jeff's brother John left this morning for the Peru MTC before going to his mission in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. We were all very sad to see him go, but we know he is in the right place doing what the Lord would have him do.
